Together we’re challenging the education status quo.
Exploration is a big part of what we do at foundry10, trying new and different things with learning is part of our core philosophy. In our VR program, we have an exploratory group of schools that are outside of the formal study on the use of this technology in classrooms. While not part of the study itself, the teachers and schools on this page came to us with exciting and interesting ideas for how VR can be used to enhance classroom activities.
Collaborations like this are a chance for the schools and us here at foundry10 to look at VR new ways. This page tells the stories of these schools and their students, how they came to us, and what we did together with VR.
Many of these are still in progress, so keep an eye out for updates!
Research has suggested that exposure to new and emerging technology is very beneficial to teachers in training. Being able to see what is coming up and consider how it might make an impact in classrooms brings new perspectives and ideas.
The VR Partner Schools program is the less formal branch of our exploration of VR and its uses in classrooms. Many of the methods and practices are the same as what we use in our more formal study, however we are more flexible with timing and proposals in this program.
